How Appropriate...

...that today we celebrate the life of the greatest American ever, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and tomorrow we inaugurate the first African American President in American History.  How far we have come, how far we still have to journey.

Please pray for Mr. Obama tomorrow.  May he stay safe as he takes the oath of office.

How do you know he really loves you...

...I found out last night, at a meeting at church, that two acquaintances of mine, Kevin and Laura got engaged on Saturday.  Keven is the A-V director for the kids ministry and he spent eight weeks putting this together.  Laura told chessgirl and I all about it last night, and even though there were a bizillion people involved, she had no idea it was coming.  Anyway, all I can say in the end is Bravo Keven!!!
One more thing...the reason they are both dressed up is Keven told Laura that they were going to a wedding for a friend of his that he had not seen in years.

Deep question?

After talking with a good friend this weekend, I've been struggling with a very deep question.  Can people really change?  Or are they always who they are at the core, capable of growth, but incapable of really changing?  I've been struggling with this question for 2 days now and it's changing the way I see the world...

Is true change really possible?
